Anubias are a virtually indestructible plant. Most fish and snails are incapable of eating their healthy leaves. 
Anubias does not need to be planted in substrate. It can be attached to wood, rock, left floating, or placed into substrate if preferred. 
 
Anubias nana is a short plant with broad leaves. Its dark green colors make it an attractive plant and it will help keep your tank water clean and oxygenated. Adding anubias to your tank will help lower nitrates (as the plant consumes them), increase the cleanliness of the water, and is very adaptive to a wide variety of waters.
