Panda Cory (Corydoras panda)

The Panda Cory is a beloved freshwater fish known for its playful nature and charming black-and-white markings that resemble a panda bear. These small, peaceful bottom-dwellers are perfect for community aquariums, where they coexist happily with other non-aggressive fish and enjoy schooling in groups of at least six. Panda Cories bring life and energy to the lower levels of the tank, often seen playfully digging in the substrate in search of food.

They thrive in well-planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots and soft substrate, like sand, to protect their delicate barbels. Panda Cories are relatively low-maintenance and well-suited for beginner aquarists. Here are the ideal water parameters to keep these delightful little fish healthy:

  • pH: 6.5-7.5
